Story so Far 2007-08

September 2007
And it’s back to school, for old and new pupils – and teachers - alike. The three new upper sixth girls, Jessica, Beth and Sylvie soon get to grips with their new status, and the whackings commence. Jessica also tempers her whackings with kindness and counselling, although her year-long obsession with house points starts here.

There’s a new girl in the Lower Sixth, Lydia Seymour, who starts term being very lonely and unsure of herself, as she’s new to boarding; her first friend is one of the new boys, Ned Corwin, but eventually her roommate Claudia Delamere, at first hostile, comes round and they become firm friends too. Ned is also a newcomer to the world of boarding, but he finds it easier to make friends, among both sexes; he also has to contend with his troublesome little sister, Lavinia, and his even more troublesome girlfriend back home, Annie.

Pippa Beaumont starts the term with a shock when she realises her summer fling is at Lowewood, in the shape of William de Lacey; she soon sees the error of her ways, whilst also striking up a friendship with another new boy, Alex ap Iorwerth, when she agrees to be his Latin tutor.

Robert Trelawne moves up to the Upper Sixth as a prefect, and soon indulges in spanking and other types of corporal punishment; he marvels to discover that some girls may enjoy this activity as much as he does, and tries this out in no small measure. One of his targets, Faye Dennington-Glass, seems incapable of keeping out of trouble, but often this is through acts of kindness rather than being some out-of-control horror.

And Martin Rose takes over Jason Oak’s concession for the supply of booze and fags, whilst developing an unhealthy crush on the Head Girl. The key event of this month is that auditions and then rehearsals take place for the school pantomime, Cinderella, an updated version of which has been penned by Richard Farthingdale.

October 2007
Faye tries to instigate “Operation Being Good”, but fails, fairly badly. Ned continues to take the rap for his sister, and also has to deal with his girlfriend Annie turning up unexpectedly at Lowewood. Claudia starts to see a local, Robbie Benton, and a game of “I have never” sees the flirting flame turned up a little between Alex and Pippa, despite the fact that Pippa has fixed Alex up with her distant relation.

Martin vomits when Bridget Bleasdale makes a pass at him over a game of chess, but after some sage advice from Jason Oak in the sultry surroundings of the Black Cat Club, by the end of the month he’s celebrating his first ever kiss with the same young lady after a chess tournament in Oxford.

After almost forcing himself upon Pippa in the library (from whence she was rescued by Alex), William de Lacey continues to thrust his attentions onto several other unsuspecting young ladies, which leads to a physical fight between him and Robert Trelawne, from which Robert emerges the victor. This sparks ire in William’s brother Rufus, who threatens Jessica; Rufus is also mean to Emilie, Faye’s nympho roommate, and then when Faye confronts him he whacks her too.

Lydia and Pippa get revenge on William with a cartoon and story in Glory in the Fight. And Jessica receives a warning from Mr Black – there’s a contract out on a redhead schoolgirl – could it be Lydia? There’s also an American stranger asking odd questions about new girls, whom Jessica fobs off with a lie. Lydia’s artwork meanwhile goes from strength to strength, particularly under the tuition of Mr Compton, her squeeze Bill from the summer, who turns out to be a new art teacher at Lowewood.

Jessica meanwhile goes up to Oxford for her exam and interview; while these don’t seem to go particularly well, there is compensation in the form of Richard Farthingdale; having shown her round Oxford he then returns to Lowewood, first temporarily to escort her home and then on a more regular basis as teaching assistant, to help with the production of the pantomime. Their sexual relationship, which they started on Jess’ visit to the university town, blossoms in the halls of Lowewood.

November 2007
Sadly, Jessica is turned down for the Charles Gardiner Scholarship and although she is offered an unconditional place, can’t afford to take it up. At the same time, she  discovers, with the help of Richard, that not only does Gina have the hots for her but that she also gets off on corporal punishment. Having snuck out with Richard to a London club, Samarkand, owned by Christian Marwood, an encounter with a Russian man leaves her nervous about the company that Christian is keeping, and it also comes to Jessica’s attention that an American woman has been asking questions about the Lowewood girls.

William de Lacey walks in on Jessica and Richard getting down and dirty in the theatre office. Meanwhile Ned features in a sex scandal of his own by being caught by the News of the World having sex with Annie in the grounds of Ashberry Hall. Having been caned by his father in Mr Shaftebotham’s study for this, he then is seen punching Joseph Garvey-Flanders by Rufus. And Ned’s month gets even worse when Annie runs away from home and seeks refuge under his bed.

At the end of half-term, Faye stays at Jen’s house and both get belted by Jen’s father. Faye’s friend Paul from home then takes her virginity; Faye is sadly caught and caned. And in an attempt to avoid a caning, she agrees to do anything that Robert wants. Meanwhile Pippa learns that Alex has the hots for her, and they eventually snog and get naked, but go no further… for now.

Reverend Jenkins is heavily involved in training the school eight, which includes Jess after she is persuaded to try out for the team by Beth. Lydia gets her tongue pierced and as a result receives her first caning from Mr Shaftebotham; Robert scores with Carmel Docherty after a ‘Full Monty’ strip at a party in his room. And Martin, having bought some Viagra online to help him seduce Bridget and intent on seduction in Room 2D, sees a strange girl in Ned’s room…

December 2007
Ned manages to put Jessica off the scent over Annie, but Sylvie reveals to Jess that Annie is living in Ned’s room; Jessica canes Ned and sends Annie packing (and  Annie dumps Ned). Suffering her own romantic woes, Jessica receives a visit from Lord Farthingdale, who tells her he deeply disapproves of her relationship with Richard and instructs her to finish it, which she does, under pressure. The panto kicks off and Jess is publicly bollocked by Richard, who is bitter at being dumped. He then gets very drunk and after being driven back to Oxford by Gina, confesses that he had planned to ask Jessica to marry him. He gives Gina a note to give to Jessica in the summer. At the same time, he resigns from his teaching assistant position.

Pippa and Alex also hit some troubled waters, but make it up, and Pippa is seen by her father snogging Alex; Lord Beaumont is not best pleased. Meanwhile Martin takes his first Viagra pills and discovers it has unfortunate effects! No such troubles for Beth; she celebrates her coming of age by coming several more times in a hot BDSM session with Mr Croft. Faye discovers that she rather likes being spanked at Robert’s hand. She has discovered that offering sexual favours to the prefects is preferable to being punished, but it leads to her falling out with Rosie. And on the topic of punishment, Reverend Jenkins deals with the French Assistante.

Jessica is propositioned by Christian to work at Samarkand and is invited to Mr Black’s for Christmas, but is already going to Lord Fawcett’s. However, this invitation is soon rescinded; Rufus de Lacey took compromising photographs of Jessica and Richard and put them in Mr Shaftebotham’s pigeonhole with a slightly altered note from Robert Trelawne, to make it look like it’s Robert who is dropping Jess and Richard in it. Jess is summoned, given 12 strokes of the cane from Mr Shaftebotham,  verbally flayed by Lord Fawcett and confined to Lowewood during the holidays. This being Jess though, she disobeys Lord Fawcett’s orders and spends Christmas with Mr Black, Christian and Joseph Garvey-Flanders; she has sex again with Christian but feels guilty, due to his now being a married man.

Lydia too manages not to spend Christmas at Lowewood, despite not being able to go home, as she is invited to Ned’s instead. Jessica also bans her from going to Lowerton in an attempt to keep her out of sight from the mysterious American woman.

January 2008
In further holiday news, because of her snog with Alex Pippa is paddled by her father, told that she cannot go to university, and is left on her own for New Year. Meanwhile Gabby Delamere is caught having sex with her cousin Josh.

Back at school, Faye and Jessica have a discussion about her offering ‘favours’ to prefects – Faye decides to be (comparatively) ‘good’. Faye catches Emilie and Elspeth smoking weed in her room, and later finds Emilie ill from taking drugs – Jessica sorts it out and canes Elspeth to try and find out the culprit but the answer is not forthcoming. Elspeth then starts sneakily getting Faye in trouble, but in her new “being good” phase Faye is assigned, together with Oliver Priestly, to look after the new school pet, a llama.

There is an ongoing feud between Lydia and William de Lacey, and they have yet another altercation after Lydia draws an embarrassing cartoon of him. Ned shags Emilie, Claudia loses her virginity to local boy Robbie, and Ned’s stepmother introduces idea of the younger girls having ‘crushes’ on older girls. Martin decides he doesn’t like Bridget anymore and goes to see a crap counsellor-person.

Robert has a ‘confusing’ meeting with Mr Shaftebotham about the ‘info’ on the rugby tour he gave him before Christmas. This information was in fact altered by Rufus de Lacey to accompany the photos of Jessica and Richard; but of course neither Robert, the Headmaster nor Jessica know what actually happened. As such, Jessica is still ignoring Robert. In addition, Amelia blackmails Robert and uses him as her sex toy.

Pippa loses her virginity to Alex ap Iorwerth and finds out that he lost his virginity to 28-yr-old Polish woman. Having been cheeky to Mr Shaftebotham, she gets caned and it all comes out about university and her dad so Mr Shaftebotham says he will try to help.

Jessica, who is offered a place at Yale University, is getting increasingly suspicious about the ‘American woman’, and there is the first inkling that Rufus de Lacey is up to something. Rufus blackmails Ned over his sister’s ‘crush’ on Lydia and we see the beginnings of the ‘Fight Club’.

February 2008
Claudia has a pregnancy scare but it’s a false alarm and Elspeth Serralier is still being an evil sneaky bitch to Faye (who is still oblivious). Amelia makes Robert take Viagra and shag her over and over and over… and Robert spanks Laura and finally gets to see her famous tits. In the meantime, Rufus and Amelia cane Lydia in revenge for her cartoons and her feud with William de Lacey. Jen is mistaken for Lydia by Lorilee, the mysterious American woman, and is found unconscious next morning in the school grounds by Faye and Oliver. Faye and Elspeth fight and Jessica tries to find out from Martin who has been supplying drugs.

The fight club begins to take effect and Robert notices lower sixth boys covered in bruises. Martin spanks Mary Blake (thus losing his spanking-giving virginity). Lydia is in more confrontations with William, and Pippa thinks Alex has gone off her because of his fight-club related behaviour. In a surprise move, Lord Fawcett asks to adopt Jessica and she accepts gladly, whilst Beth finds new love with the Earl of Connington, Alexander Swinton at Fawcett Hall. Love is in the air as Faye and Oliver get together and Jessica celebrates her birthday with a hot threesome with Gina Henshaw and Laura Featherstone. Pippa finds out about fight club and tells Faye, who after being beaten by Rufus de Lacey, realises that Oliver is also a club member.

Jessica discusses her suspicions about the American woman and Lydia with Mr Black, and finds out that Mr Compton is an undercover policeman. Meanwhile Lydia and Claudia follow Ned and Alex going into the woods and see the fight club in progress.

March 2008
Pippa tells Jessica about the fight club. Ned beats Alex at fight club and is torn up by it; Lydia finds him consoling himself with Rufus’ vodka in the woods and they go back to the theatre and have what is from Ned’s point of view, extremely satisfying sex. Lydia, however, is traumatised by losing her virginity to Ned and starts keeping her distance from him; Claudia eventually explains to him that he was far too rough.

Jessica speaks to Robert about her plans to film Rufus and the fight club so it can be reported to Mr Shaftebotham.  She then confronts him about the photos which were sent to Mr Shaftebotham of her and Richard and they realise that Rufus set them up. Robert, Jessica and the other prefects go to break up Rufus’s fight club.  Rufus knocks Jess out with a cricket ball and Robert goes mad and beats him up. Jessica, Robert and Rufus end up in front of Mr Shaftebotham, who wants to expel Rufus but cannot because his father, Sir Magnus, threatens to report Robert to the police for assault.  Rufus is stripped of prefecthood and given 18 strokes of the cane and Robert is given eight for beating him up.

Lydia is gutted to receive a note from her Dad saying that she can’t go home for Easter.  However, she’s taken in by a note from Lorilee, who pretends to be able to take Lydia to her dad. Jess sees strangers in Lowewood and realises that they are there for Lydia and so they try to escape in Jess’s car.  Jess ignores Mr Black because she suspects he may hand Lydia over and calls Christian, who agrees they can hide there. However Christian double crosses them for a quarter of a million pounds; the girls are kidnapped and tortured in order to blackmail Lydia’s father, but eventually they escape, only to be double-crossed again by one of Lydia’s dad’s colleagues, on the roof of Scotland Yard. Jess is shot.

Faye’s father tells her that there is an article about Lowewood girls and a shootout in the paper but her Mum won’t let her read it; meanwhile  Faye discovers that her mother has hired a private tutor, Mr Mattison for the holidays who is allowed (and does) spank Faye. Claudia passes her driving test, and both twins are punished for Gabby’s deception over Josh; Gabby is sent to Auntie Karen’s.

Beth visits Jess in hospital; Jess is weak but upbeat, having been shot in the shoulder. Lydia meanwhile has nightmares about the kidnap and shooting but gets to spend Easter with her father.  She is comforted by Ned upon her return to Lowewood.

We see a variety of letters from Richard, in which he informs the Somertons and Farthingdales that he and Beth will not be marrying and announces his intention to take a year out from his studies to work as entertainment manager upon a cruise ship. Another letter is also very informative; Pippa opens a letter from Alex to learn that he has a son whom his parents are raising as their own to avoid scandal. Rufus had learnt about this and threatened to expose the truth so Alex took part in the fight club to protect his son.

And we say farewell to Martin Rose, who will be accompanying his father to Eritrea in the role of parliamentary assistant.

April 2008
Robert’s love life takes a turn for the better; discovering Amelia and Rufus in the act, he canes Rufus and orders Amelia to report to him to discuss both this and her little webcam project. Robert suggests a disconsolate Ed joins him and Amelia for a threesome, but this doesn’t go well… Robert also punishes and then shags a newly-single Faye, but soon Faye is back with Ollie.

Pippa receives a letter from her father stating that she can go to university providing that she becomes a prefect next year and represents Lowewood at a sport this year. To this end she volunteers for the Soiree organising committee to increase her chance of prefecthood, which is a handy excuse to turn down Alex’s invitation; she just wants to stay friends.

Jess receives lots of flowers, gifts and even propositions, including an invite to the Soirée from Henry Marston. She learns of Christian’s death, which Mr Black suspects was related to her kidnappers reclaiming their money. The Head Girl soon dispels rumours of being weakened by the shooting by getting back into the CP swing of things – literally. And after difficulties in finding a dress for the Soiree that hides her scars from the torture and the shooting, Jess receives a gorgeous dress from her father, complete with his grandmother’s pearls and Prada shoes.

We meet Joshua Bradley, a new boy who has transferred as his previous school closed down.  He is to be a prefect as he was deputy head boy at Westwood Grange, and is assigned a disgruntled Cassandra Abbotts as his fag. He is shocked when Sam spanks Cassie for fagging incompetence but quickly picks up the technique and delivers his first spanking. Cassie also reflects on her first week fagging for Josh and has a painful run-in with Herr Rohrstock regarding her oral incompetence. She’s also spanked by Beth for throwing a water bomb into the boys changing rooms; she’s another athlete, and both she and Claudia win their trials for 200m and 400m respectively.

We learn Ned’s father has promised him a car if he keeps up his good work, which he hopes will impress Lydia.  However a quip from him regarding Lydia’s weight does not go down well; having been picked to represent Lowewood with Joe 3rd she decides to go on a diet. Sam Sherwood catches her smoking weed to kill her appetite;  he punishes her and then they get up close and personal, but she stops him before it can go too far after her experience with Ned.  He accuses her of being a cock tease and she, very upset, makes herself sick.

Meanwhile, Gina reveals an interest in Ned; she offers to tutor him in the arts of lovemaking. He in turn meets and has to punish Violet Kynaston, a fifth former.

Claudia is befriended by Leon on the way to athletics trials; she also has a rather traumatic medical with Dr Probeum, who is shocked in turn by Josh’s revelation that he’d slept with 20 girls in the last year. Is Rosie Woodward going to be number 21?

May 2008
And so May dawns, and with it the nerves and the anxious anticipation of the May Ball. As the alcohol flows, and the music plays, the intermingled stories of the revellers unfold, with Pippa succumbing again to the charms of her Alex, with unfortunate Ed fretting to Rob this his date for the Soiree is Bridget Cadbury, the ‘fattest, ugliest cow in the whole school’, despite her shot putt prowess and with first Joe and then Ned making a play for Lydia’s attentions. But with passions rising so high in so many quarters, the night could never have ended happily, and nor does it, as Jessica discovers a naked Faye and Ollie in a secluded summerhouse and Claudia at Leon’s waist. Her pleas for the two to get dressed fall on deaf ears, and as a drunk Leon weighs in, tempers rise, a struggle ensues and - in a moment of tragedy - Jessica’s priceless pearls, a gift from Lord Fawcett himself, are torn from her neck and lost in the fishpool. Jessica shortly follows them.

The fallout is understandably serious. The following Monday Faye, Ollie, Leon and Claudia are told of their fate by an appalled Shaftebotham - an appearance before the Prefect’s Council. And who could blame Jessica and her select prefects for the more than usually imaginative (and sadistic) plans they lay for the four sinners, as they eat chocolates and sip vodka shots in Jess’s study? Even Simon seems taken aback; “You mean, we’re going to use other methods, besides mere CP?” he asks. And oh, what a punishment it is: five-minute timed hairbush-whippings, hand and thigh strappings, and then a vicious 12-stroke caning. But even worse than this: nude dancing to Britney’s “Crazy”.

If Jessica thought the night of the Prefect’s Council would mark an end to the events of the May Ball then she is wrong, for not only is she left feeling guilty for her anger, it also seems that Rufus de Lacey saw the events of the council - and was none too impressed by what he saw. So Jess pays the price - and atones - as she is birched naked over a tree stump in a lonely spot in the Lowewood grounds. Little does she know - until her ordeal is complete - that Leon is also enjoying her pain. “Revenge is sweet, don’t you think Leon?”, asks Rufus, to a self-satisfied “I do”.

A sad end to Ned and Lydia’s relationship gives way to one of the crueller practical jokes in Lowewood’s history - a mountain of manure in the Lowewood courtyard courtesy of Pippa (and William’s credit card). And finally - and happily - Jess manages to turn her dark mood around, as she receives the backing of Shaftebotham to continue as Head Girl, and she finally finds the will to tell a taunting Rufus exactly where to go: “Do what you like Rufus. You won’t beat me,” she says, before turning her back on him - for the last time.
