Lowewood - The Story So Far….
It all began back in 2006, when Mr Shaftebotham, Headmaster of Lowewood Academy and Lord Fawcett, Chairman of the Governors, decided that Lowewood should connect to the outside world. So they cast around and picked some lucky volunteers to bring their doings at Lowewood to a wider public. It was promised that all their musings on life at Lowewood would remain private to the staff, so they could be as honest as they liked! Dashwood House, the first house formed at Lowewood, was chosen as the breeding ground for the chroniclers…..
It was natural that Richard Farthingdale, eldest son of Lord Farthingdale of Staffordshire and Head Boy of Lowewood Academy should be one of the chosen. He’d joined Lowewood in the lower-sixth, as all boys do, and on moving to the Upper Sixth, had quickly established himself as a feared head boy. He was joined by Jessica Davies, a lower-sixth Lowewood ‘Endowed Girl’ which has nothing to do with the size of her breasts and everything to do with the size of her brain. The ‘charity girl’ as some of the more unkind girls have called her, was known for her wild ways and lack of respect for authority, as well as her brains! Her best friends, Lady Elizabeth (or Beth) Somerton, newly arrived at Lowewood Academy for sixth form from a nancy liberal regime at Charnforth College, and Sylvie Barnable, a home-schooled girl with an eye for a story, were also obvious choices for the experiment. Finally, Jason Oak, the school games captain (top sport: sex) sauntered his way into a writing post.
Beth and Jessica shared a room together and quickly discovered a shared pleasure in getting away with as much as possible without falling foul of prefects and teachers. Sylvie was just as bad! This didn’t suit Richard, whose determination to gain enough housepoints for Lowewood to win the Challenge Cup was constantly thwarted by naughty behaviour from the three bad girls. They weren’t the only behaviourally challenged members of the Dashwood Lower Sixth. Oh no! Now read on…..
